WWCDD?

Recently I have been drowning under an insane caseload. I had to draw strength from somewhere. I found it in Clarence Darrow:

  • You can protect your liberties in this world only by protecting the other man's freedom.
  • No other offense has ever been visited with such severe penalties as seeking to help the oppressed.
  • Lost causes are the only ones worth fighting for.

And my favorite, and my answer for everything from here on out:

SET IT ALL FOR TRIAL. Why? Well, see:

  • The only real lawyers are trial lawyers, and trial lawyers try cases to juries.

And appellate lawyers! We're (mostly) real lawyers too...kind of...ok, we're not. :(

Yeah...appellate lawyers are real lawyers. We go to court and actually advocate...let's look down on those paper pusher transactional lawyers.

Whoo hoo!!

I have much love for appellate lawyers...I have to call them all the time and ask them legal advice!

It was not meant as a slight, I just had to remind myself what the hell I am REALLY supposed to be doing.
